Our Sixth Form Biology students had an enriching day in London, attending captivating lectures covering diverse topics in Biology. From the history of pathogens to modern-day trauma research, the lectures provided invaluable insights into the field. Special thanks to all the speakers for an enjoyable, useful, and informative day.  

Congratulations to the group of Year 8 girls who successfully completed the Pearls Project led by Karen Allen at the Place of Dreams. The Pearls Project is a personal development programme fostering self-esteem, confidence & wise decision-making. The girls connected with Karen, leading to positive impacts on their character, confidence & aspirations, culminating in creative self-expression during final sessions.

Our sixth form students went on a 5-day residential course at the Field Studies Council centre at Nettlecombe Court in Somerset, exploring coastal challenges in Minehead. Students stayed in the old Tudor mansion & worked with two other schools to collect data for their 4000-word report. They worked well with the other schools & were praised for their hard work & curiosity. 

Thank you to the parents who were able to come to our coffee morning to discuss learning, including homework, revision & supporting children through exams.

Come along to our coffee morning Wednesday 28 Feb 9.30am-10.30am. We’ll be focusing on revision, homework & study skills, tailored for parents of Year 9, 10, 11 & 12 students. It’s a great chance meet other parents & gain valuable insights on how to support your child.  

Year 11s enjoyed a special performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by The Globe Players , turning their GCSE text into a lively revision session. Head of English, Madam Broomes, shared that “The wonderful performance provided an enjoyable way for the Year 11s to prepare for their upcoming mock exams. 

Don’t miss out on a great hot lunch each day & lots of activities for children every day over half term. 

Children & families receiving free school meals can join us at The Nest, Nightingale Road, Edmonton N9 8BF 11.30am-1.30pm.
