From the history of pathogens to modern-day trauma research, the lectures provided invaluable insights into the field.     Congratulations to the group of Year 8 girls who successfully completed the Pearls Project led by Karen Allen at the Place of Dreams. The Pearls Project is a personal development programme fostering self-esteem, confidence & wise decision-making. The girls connected with Karen, leading to positive impacts on their character, confidence & aspirations, culminating in creative self-expression during final sessions.

    Sixth Form Enrichment: Exploring Coastal Challenges at Nettlecombe Court

    Our sixth form students went on a 5-day residential course at the Field Studies Council centre at Nettlecombe Court in Somerset, exploring coastal challenges in Minehead. Students stayed in the old Tudor mansion & worked with two other schools to collect data for their 4000-word report. They worked well with the other schools & were praised for their hard work & curiosity.

    Year 11s enjoyed a special performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by The Globe Players , turning their GCSE text into a lively revision session. Head of English, Madam Broomes, shared that “The wonderful performance provided an enjoyable way for the Year 11s to prepare for their upcoming mock exams.
